US fears Russia may disrupt elections in Europe

Officials from Barack Obama’s administration claim that Russia «rocked» the election campaign in the country and express fears that Moscow may disrupt the progress of key elections in Europe, the Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the comments of American political scientists, Russia will be even more active in Europe than it was in the US. For example, according to their forecasts, Moscow will have particular geopolitical interest in the elections in France and Germany (spring and autumn of 2017).

According to the American side, Russia has established links with local politicians and parties of eurosceptics and thus strengthened its positions against the background of migration crisis in Europe.
